This website is written by Laurence O’Donnell and he does a good job providing interesting facts and statistics on how music affects the body.  The author himself is a musician and plays the bassoon, therefore he has direct knowledge on how music affects him personally.  Throughout his website he breaks down specific ways for how music affects the body, making his website more reliable.  For example, he talks about bodily responses to music, the power of music on memory and learning, healthy effects, and music’s effect on plants and animals.  He presents his website well by adding various pictures related to the information being provided and also adds some color to the page.

Campbell Index is used throughout this website as a source and the site each way possible that music has on the body.  Campbell did a fantastic job giving its audience a full understanding of how music affects the body in such a large way.  This happens because examples were provided throughout the website after they had just explained a major topic.  For example, after the website discussed the topic about how music reduces muscle tension and improves body movement and coordination, right after stating this was an example on a study conducted by Colorado State in 1991.  By providing examples for most of the issues discussed, the audience finds it more believable and easier to understand.

eMedExpert is a unique free online company dedicated to providing a website that gives great information on health and medicine.  Throughout the site they try to encourage their audience that music affects people and promotes health.  They do this by providing reliable information, statistics, pictures, and examples.  Key points they cover through the website include music heals, effects of music on the brain, music improves physical performance, music helps to work more productively, improves mood, and help to sleep.  This website has 35 references, so that explains that the website is reliable and contains a lot of information from various other places.  This website also provides links to enable you to visit other websites and learn more about that specific topic.

The telegraph is a powerful website originated out of UK providing various news about sports, finance, blogs, fashion, and travel.  This news is global and updated each day on the site.  For this specific website above explains how music can boost the immune system.  The author is Richard Gray and he is a science correspondent.  His style of writing involved direct quotations from various doctors that were giving facts and opinions about the topic music boosting the immune system.  One of the examples they provided was that listening to music in hospitals could show benefits for patients and lead to a shorter recovery time.  By providing information from doctors makes this source reliable due to the fact that doctors have more knowledge than just the average human being.

eSSORTMENT is a website company that is a source for knowledge providing a variety of articles and websites for a variety of topics such as medicine, health, clothing, business, education, travel, and food.  The website above explains how music affects your mood and gives its audience various ways music can be more involved in their life.  For example, they tell their audience to take advantage of your public library’s collection of music.  The reason they want people to be so involved with music is because music affects our mood and is a great mood enhancer.  Overall, this was a great source and did a good job providing tips, examples, and important information to its audience.

PsyBlog is a website about scientific research on how the mind works.  Jeremy Dean is the author and he does research at University College London, and working toward a PhD.  In this source I used the author explains seven ways music influences mood.  These seven ways include entertainment, revival, strong sensation, diversion, discharge, mental work, and solace.  For each of the seven ways the author included a description of the term which helped his audience comprehend what he was thinking.   Although, the web site is short it’s specific and right to the point including all of the information needed to know the way music affects mood.
